So Close

Just 1 hour from Chicago O’Hare and the Chicago Loop.

Yet So Far.

This 70+ mile gravel event is something you would envision stumbling upon in the heart of the great plains. Mile after mile of quiet gravel roads passing farms and windmills. You will spend the entire ride pedaling through farm fields where farmers are making their final preparations before planting season begins.

Welcome to Waterman

The Village of Waterman is a welcoming and engaged rural community in the heart of northern Illinois.

With a population of 1,600, Waterman embraces the importance of being an agricultural community in an ever-growing and developing world. The Village is conscious of controlled growth and development but recognizes the importance of open space and recreation.

Waterman is home to the Clinton Township Library, the smallest unit in the United States to have an Andrew Carnegie library, the Waterman Winery and Vineyard, and Honey Hill Orchard.  Our picturesque pastures and charming parks provide a much-needed respite from the world around us.

Welcome to Waterman! With its “get-away-from-it-all” atmosphere and charming hometown feel, come see why we call Waterman home.

Our goal is simple. To make Seeds & Stones Roubaix not only a staple event in your spring calendar, but the barameter you measure all events against.
